In a unexpected crossover event that breaks usual predictions, the game developer has revealed an in-game partnership between Assassin's Creed Shadows and the popular anime series Attack on Titan. The unusual holiday event continues from November 25 through December 22, providing no-cost additional story content for Shadows players.

Peculiar Mission Uncovered

According to the formal statement, "An unusual meeting leads characters Naoe and Yasuke into a original quest, where rumors of forbidden rituals and terrifying metamorphoses resonate through the darkness." The plot features a "oddly dressed woman named Ada" who tasks the duo with journeying into the Crystal Cave—a significant location from Attack on Titan—to liberate her friend from a clandestine group.

The questline centers on "strange experiments and a monstrous adversary" and is available to all players who have gained access to the Yasuke character.

Recognizable Locations and Changes

The trailer features the Underground Chapel from Attack on Titan redesigned as the Crystal Cave. This significant location was previously where the Reiss royal family passed down the Founding Titan ability through ages. The preview ends with a striking moment showing a character, probably the hostage, morphing into a Titan that rises over Naoe and Yasuke.

Players who successfully complete the quest will acquire an special katana in addition to several artifacts concealed throughout the area in secret chests. The update also contains purchasable Attack on Titan item packs, including:
