Jet Carrying Pete Hegseth Forced to Touch Down in UK Due to Crack in Windshield

An aircraft ferrying the US defense secretary was forced to make an unplanned landing in the Britain on Wednesday due to a fissure was found in the plane's windshield, per an official statement which verified that all passengers were secure.

"The jet landed in accordance with standard protocol and everyone onboard, among them Secretary Hegseth, is secure," a press officer said in a social media post.

Hegseth was returning from a quick journey to Brussels at the time.

This event isn't the first occasion that a United States armed forces jet carrying a top government figure has experienced technical problems.

Earlier this year, a US Air Force plane transporting Secretary of State Marco Rubio to the city in Germany was forced to head back to the US capital after suffering a mechanical fault.
