Kai Trump will have numerous well-known supporters as she makes her professional golf debut this Thursday.
This teenage golfer, who is connected to Donald Trump, received a special exemption to play at Florida's Annika event in the Sunshine State.
The former president, a passionate golfer, operates several golf courses and frequently plays against his granddaughter.
"He's quite skilled. I shouldn't elaborate but we play tight competitions," she mentioned.
The golfer shared that her grandfather, unable to come, counseled her: "Just avoid anxiety."
"My grandpa basically told me to compete and relax," she continued.
"From my perspective, he's just a normal grandpa. He's not attending for the tournament. He's occupied with presidential duties, so he's somewhat preoccupied."
As an amateur, the golfer has played in just three tournaments recently and has ranking 461 in the American Junior Golf Association listings.
However she's able to seek guidance from golf legend, romantically involved with Kai's mother.
"He stands as the top athlete worldwide," Kai stated.
"And he's an even better person. He advised me to go out there, enjoy myself, adapting to whatever happens."
The golfer will compete against several top competitors in women's golf at the Annika, including world number two the champion, England's Charley Hull, professional Thompson and 2023 champion Lilia Vu.
The LPGA mentioned that Kai's presence helps introduce golf to new audiences, specifically reaching the next generation.
The young star maintains substantial online presence and has started a personal clothing and lifestyle label.
She begins at 17:30 GMT.
